How to enable Google Chrome Tab Groups

This will be only a two-step process for many users. Open up chrome and right-click on a tab in your browser to check if tab groups is enabled.

You can search chrome://flags to find the tab groups option under all available experiments. You will find many other features in beta mode. If you are having trouble finding the tab groups option, search the page using the keyboard shortcuts ctrl+f on pc and cmd+f on mac. After you have found tab groups, click the enable button from the drop-down menu. You should make sure to click the relaunch button at the top right. How to use Google Chrome Tab Groups

You should now be able create a new tab groups and customize the name, color-coding and tabs that belong to it. This can be tested by opening several webpages and clicking “add to new groups” from an open tab.

Next, choose a group name or color. A corresponding dot will be displayed on the selected tabs above the search bar if you select only one color. The dot will disappear if you enter a group name. You’ll have the option to:

By right-clicking on the tab you wish to move, and selecting “add to existing groups”, you can also add or remove tabs from an existing group. You can also select the tab and place it in your group.
